The general terms and conditions apply to all actions and agreements made with Locked Up. Please read these terms carefully before making a reservation. By confirming your reservation or participating in the game, you agree to these general terms and conditions. Any dispute arising from this agreement will be submitted exclusively to the competent court of the judicial district of East Flanders.

Article 1: Booking and cancellation

1. Booking

Reservations can only be made online via the booking page on www.lockedup.be. By booking a game, you implicitly agree to the general terms and conditions as well as the house rules.

Payment is always made in advance: via Bancontact when booking online, or in cash on-site.

For companies or organizations with a business registration number, an invoice can be issued after the game, depending on the number of participants booked. Please indicate this on the booking form when making a reservation. Invoices are sent by email on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month.

2. Cancellation

  • Cancellation more than 4 weeks before the game date: the full amount will be refunded in the form of a gift voucher.

  • Cancellation between 2 and 4 weeks before the game date: 60% will be refunded in the form of a gift voucher.

  • Cancellation less than 2 weeks before the game date or no-show: no refund is possible under any circumstances.

Cancellations can only be made via email to info@lockedup.be, including the booked name, date, time, game, and phone number.

Locked Up reserves the right to cancel or modify the booking at its own discretion or due to force majeure from an external party. In the event of a cancellation on our part, the full amount, if prepaid, will be refunded within 15 days or the booking will be rescheduled to a later date.

Locked Up reserves the right to refuse any group or individual for a valid reason. In such cases, no refund will be given.

Article 2: Before, during and after the game

You are expected to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Before the game begins, an explanation will be given about the game and its storyline. For this reason, we reserve the right to deny access to groups arriving more than 15 minutes late. Whether a late start is still possible will be determined at the time of arrival. No refunds will be granted (in any form) in the case of late arrival.

Locked Up is not responsible for accidents and/or theft. Lockers are provided for storing personal belongings during the game.

The rooms are equipped with cameras and microphones to monitor the game and assist players with certain puzzles. By entering a room, you explicitly consent to this. The footage is never stored or used for any purpose other than those stated above.

Drug and/or alcohol use is strictly prohibited during the game. A general smoking ban applies within the Locked Up premises. If these rules are violated, or there are strong indications of such behavior, access to the game will be denied. In this case, no refund will be granted, as stated in Article 1 §2.

Any damage caused will be fully charged to the responsible person or the individual who made the reservation, with an additional €30 administrative fee. Damage to the room can negatively impact the experience of subsequent teams.

The game mainly consists of mental challenges. Some challenges may require you to move or shift objects, but no force is ever needed.

You are not expected to dismantle, detach, or break furniture, devices, or other fixed objects. Items that are not part of the game are clearly marked as such.

Phones, smartphones, cameras, or any type of recording equipment are strictly prohibited in the rooms. It is explicitly forbidden to take videos or photos inside the rooms. If we detect unauthorized recordings, we reserve the right to terminate the game immediately and confiscate or delete the recordings. If such recordings are shared online or via other media without express written permission, a compensation claim will be filed.

Sharing solutions, riddles, puzzles, etc. with others in any way (e.g., via Facebook, Instagram, X, or other social media) is strictly forbidden.

Article 3: General provisions

Locked Up is a brand of SPEL BRILJANT VOF and may not be used in any communication or form without permission.

All puzzles, riddles, props, and scenarios used in the escape rooms under the Locked Up name are the property of SPEL BRILJANT VOF and may not be copied in any way.

Personal data collected during the booking process is only used for that purpose or to contact you regarding your reservation. This data is never shared with third parties. Your email address may be used to inform you about new rooms. You have the right to view, modify, or delete your data.

Amendment clause

Locked Up is entitled to unilaterally amend these general terms and conditions. In such cases, Locked Up will notify the customer in advance. There will be at least two weeks between this notification and the effective date of the revised terms.

If the customer is a natural person who is not acting in the course of a business or profession and the amendment results in a materially different service than originally agreed upon, the customer has the right to terminate the agreement as of the date the new terms take effect.
